MATTA, an award-winning creative agency, has created a new film for Nationwide Building Society to engage with grassroots football. Building on the ‘Positivity Always Wins’ series it created for England Football, the film aims to inspire positive behaviour change and reinforce the values of mutual respect within the grassroots football community.
In a bid to uplift grassroots football and encourage positivity across the game, a competition was launched, offering clubs a unique opportunity to win a ‘Positivity Workshop’ with Ade Akinfenwa, renowned football star and key ambassador for inspiring positivity in football.
Winning club, R&R, located in Warlingham, Surrey was granted exclusive access to Ade Akinfenwa. The resulting film beautifully captures Ade’s heartfelt conversations with young players, as he imparts words of wisdom and shares his own inspiring journey.
Furthermore, the film features interviews with the club’s dedicated coaches, who emphasise the significance of maintaining a positive attitude in shaping young athletes. This initiative forms part of The FA’s Respect programme, which focuses on inspiring positive behaviour change within the football community.
