TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR AND MATTA LAunch ‘TO TALK IS TO DO’

This Christmas, Tottenham Hotspur have teamed up with creative agency MATTA and production company Bullion to launch To Talk Is To Do, a powerful new film supporting the Premier League’s Together Against Suicide initiative and Samaritans.

With one in four people experiencing suicidal thoughts, the campaign challenges the stigma around talking about mental health and highlights conversation as a life-saving act. To Talk Is To Do shows what really happens when someone calls Samaritans, breaking down fear and modelling the behaviour that can help save lives.

Rooted in Tottenham and featuring players, coaches and the voice of a real Samaritans volunteer, the film delivers a clear message this festive period: talking isn’t passive – it’s doing something.

“Throughout the production, we worked closely with Samaritans to ensure accuracy and depth in the portrayal of the subject matter. The phone box sequence was recorded using a live conversation between the actor and a working Samaritans volunteer. Every creative choice, including shooting on 35mm film, was made to maintain authenticity and echo real experiences of mental health struggles.”
