A Game-Changing Campaign FOR THE RETURN OF Women’s Tennis to Queen’s

MATTA has partnered with the LTA to launch a bold new campaign for the HSBC Championships, a WTA 500 event that will see elite women’s tennis return to The Queen’s Club for the first time in over 50 years.

With the tournament set to take place from 7th-15th June 2025, the campaign is designed to drive awareness, engagement, and ticket sales, positioning the HSBC Championships as a major new addition to London’s summer sporting calendar.

A BOLD Creative APPROACH

Bringing a brand-new event to life without any existing player footage or photography posed a major creative challenge. With no opportunity to shoot with the players due to their schedules, MATTA had to take a fresh, innovative approach to capture the excitement, energy, and prestige of the event.

The result? A visually striking campaign that blends illustration and digital world-building to showcase the world’s best female players rallying across a reimagined London skyline, before landing the ball in Queen’s Club.

Working with Agile Productions and illustrator Chris Rathbone, MATTA brought Emma Raducanu, Naomi Osaka, and Katie Boulter to life in a vibrant, high-energy execution. The campaign’s tagline—‘The Queens of Tennis Return to Queen’s’—celebrates both the prestige of the event and the significance of this long-awaited return for women’s sport.

A Multi-Platform Rollout

Launching from 18th February, the campaign will feature across TV, Out of Home, social media, and digital channels, ensuring maximum visibility in the lead-up to the tournament.

With the HSBC Championships set to become a key event on the UK’s summer sporting calendar, this campaign ensures that the Queens of Tennis receive the royal return they deserve.
