UEFA on accessibility

Teaming up for Disability Sport

Fantastic to see UEFA leading the way on accessibility. Our Disability Sports Lead, Marina Logacheva, recently teamed up with Mark Ward to deliver an in-depth session on ‘Best Practices and Checklists for Disability Inclusive Sports Communications’ to the marketing, communications and sustainability leaders from every UEFA National Association.

Changemakers coming together

The energy in the room spoke volumes — it’s inspiring to see so many leaders genuinely committed to making football more accessible for disabled fans, players and communities. With the European Accessibility Act coming into force in June 2025, accessible services and communications are no longer a nice-to-have; they’re a legal and moral imperative for a fairer, more inclusive game.

Looking forward

At MATTA, we’re proud to work alongside forward-thinking organisations like UEFA to break down barriers and set new standards for truly inclusive sport — on the pitch, in the stands and beyond.
