MATTA CREATES VISUAL IDENTITY FOR BILBAO FINALS WITH EPCR

MATTA CREATES VISUAL IDENTITY EPCR FOR BILBAO FINALS 2026

MATTA has developed a new visual identity for EPCR’s 2026 season and Finals Weekend in Bilbao, which came to life on the weekend as Bordeaux faced Leinster in the Investec Champions Cup Final on Friday, followed by Ulster v Montpellier in the European Champions Cup Final on Saturday.

Built around the idea of movement, the system captures the speed, energy and intensity of elite rugby across the season, using flowing graphic forms to reflect both the action on the pitch and the journey towards Bilbao.

The identity has been rolled out across stadium environments, broadcast, digital, ticketing, social and live event touchpoints throughout a season spanning 45 stadiums, multiple international markets and millions of viewers worldwide.

The project creates a consistent visual platform for EPCR while also laying the foundations for the 2027 season in Lyon.

“Working across multiple EPCR seasons has given us the opportunity to build a system that feels both consistent and evolving year on year. For Bilbao 2026, we wanted to create an identity that could carry the energy of the competition from the opening rounds right through to Finals Weekend.”
